One of the most beautiful gorges in the White Mountains, Agia Irini Gorge starts near the village of Agia Irini. The path is filled with the scent of sage and the sound of cicadas, while flowers, plants, and trees enchant visitors. The gorge’s formation is due to the erosion of limestone by the waters of the White Mountains, resulting in rich vegetation. The gorge exits into a green ravine, leading to Sougia, a village that offers accommodation, archaeological sites, and a unique blend of sea and mountains.
